Info updated on:

This is a simple and functional DVD ripper and DVD audio extractor. It supports all the most popular audio and video formats for the output files, allowing you to configure some of the advanced parameters available for each codec. The program has been designed to yield high-quality results and to take full advantage of the most popular 64-bit processors available nowadays.

The program's user interface is a bit dull and uncolored. It includes only the strictly necessary elements to create video or audio files from your DVD movies. You can load a movie either from a DVD disc or a DVD folder, select and configure your output profile, and then press the "Convert" button to start the re-encoding process. Additionally, the program includes an embedded media player that will start playing back your DVD movie as soon as you select one. This player allows you to play, pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind your movie, and to jump to the next or previous chapter, too. Moreover, the "Navigate" menu will let you choose the angle, as well as the audio and subtitle tracks to be extracted when more than one are available.

As for the output profile, you can choose among a wide variety of popular audio and video codecs, including AVI, MPEG, MOV, WMV, FLV, 3GP, MP3, M4A, and WAV. Then you can configure some advanced parameters, which vary according on the format selected. Generally speaking, you can set the video codec, size, frame rate, bit rate, and aspect ratio, as well as the audio codec, bit rate, sampling rate, and the number of channels. Optionally, you can disable all audio tracks in order to extract the video stream only.
